In observance of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, GIGAH, with the partnership of Rock Spring Community Youth Leadership, conducted a menstrual hygiene workshop on the Bye Pass, Monrovia, Liberia. The workshop aimed to provide menstrual hygiene education, provide pads, and unite young women residing in the Rock Spring community.
GIGAH wants to discourage the stigmatization and Taboo placed on ladies during their menstrual period. It is also important that we look after ourselves during menstruation to always stay healthy and reduce the possibility of infection.
Finally, the GIGAH family appreciates all participants and the Rock Spring Community Youth Leadership for allowing us to join hands to empower our girls.
